- Account Information — When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple User ID, and optionally your name and email address (if you choose to share them).
- Usage Data — Bookmarks, reading progress, and AI chat history that you create within the app.
- Purchase Information — Subscription status is verified through Apple's StoreKit. We do not store your payment details.
- AI Queries — Questions you submit to the AI Q&A feature are processed to generate responses.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the app's features
- To sync your bookmarks, progress, and preferences across devices
- To process AI Q&A requests
- To verify subscription status
- To respond to support requests
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:
- Apple — For authentication (Sign in with Apple) and in-app purchases
- AI Service Providers — Your questions are processed by an AI model to generate answers. Queries are not stored by third-party providers beyond the scope of processing your request.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account within the app, which will permanently remove all your data from our servers.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and secure storage.
7. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@lightofhadith.app or use the Delete Account feature in the app.
